CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior captain Keeley MacAfee (four goals, two assists) was one of five with multiple-goal efforts to lead Harvard women's lacrosse (6-6) to a 15-8 win over UMass-Lowell on Wednesday night (April 10) at Harvard Stadium. First-year Grace Hulslander had a hat trick, and Hannah Keating, Tessa Queri and Camerin Rawson each had two goals to lead the Crimson attack. Sophomore goalkeeper Grace Rotondo earned the win, making a save in net, while first-year Hannah Valencia made two stops in the second half. The Crimson used a strong first half to take a 9-2 lead at the break, scoring the last six goals in the frame to take control of the contest. Hulslander scored all three of her goals in the opening half, including two during Harvard's decisive run. A long run by senior captain Marley Jenkins and a slip pass to Hulslander set up a goal at 14:54 to make it 6-2. She added a free position goal at 6:10 to make it 8-2, before Queri's second goal of the half at 4:45 gave Harvard a seven-goal lead. The Crimson added three straight goals to start the second half to make it a nine-goal run overall, with Keating (23:15), MacAfee (22:30), and Bridget Flynn (21:42) scoring in a span of 1:33 to make it 12-2. Rawson scored her first career goals at 7:11 on a nice turnaround shot and added another at 3:17 to round out the scoring. Harvard Highlights - Senior captain Keeley MacAfee (four goals) moved into sixth on the all-time goal scoring list and now has 138 career goals, needing two more to surpass Kaitlin Martin '09 for fifth. - First-year Shea Jenkins led the Crimson with five ground balls and four caused turnovers. First-year Grace Hulslander lead the Crimson with six draw controls.
