The Saint Francis University women's lacrosse team's 4-1 run to end the first half wasn't enough to defeat the Dukes with a final score of 13-20. The Red Flash move to 1-3 on the season while the Dukes improve to 2-2. First Half The Red Flash came out to today's match ready to attack. They were able to hold the Dukes to a three-goal lead in the first 10 minutes of the contest. Junior midfielder Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) dominated the attack for the Red Flash in the first half by pulling her first goal at 22:38 to make the score 3-1. Scott couldn't be stopped and found the back of the net five more times maintaining a 4-1 run going into the half, and three more times in the second half to finish with eight goals on the day setting a new personal high in goals scored in a single game which also places her second all time. Second Half The Dukes came out into the second half and struck first, but redshirt senior responded three minutes later with her first of the day bring the gap to five with a score of 12-7. Sophomore Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn./Branford) kept strong on the attack logging four assists on the day and one goal. Many other Red Flash came into the attack in the second half collecting one goal apiece from senior Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School), junior Amanda Heidt (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy), and freshman Elizabeth Fisher (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown).
