HAMDEN, Conn. – Junior Megan Szawlowski recorded her first Quinnipiac hat trick Saturday afternoon with a four-goal, six-point performance as the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team cruised to a 14-8 win over the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds. Szawlowski's six-point performance is tied for the team-high this season after Allison Kuhn's six-point game in the season opener at Stetson. Szawlowski has now scored goals in four straight games to open her Quinnipiac career. Maddie Deegan, Jenna Henningson and Allison Kuhn each recorded two goals Saturday to help pace the offensive attack with their second-most goals on the season. Kuhn finished the game second on the team with four points while Deegan had three. Goalkeeper Sami Walters recorded eight saves in her second win of the season as she played all 60 minutes.
