hree Keys To The Game Rylee Arnold produced her second five-point performance of the season with two goals and three assists. Kathryn Yoder caused a game-high five turnovers. Ashley Easterday recorded her second hat trick of the season. ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — Despite a hat trick from Ashley Easterday and five points from Rylee Arnold, the Bonnies couldn't overcome an 11-3 halftime deficit, falling to Robert Morris 18-9 Saturday at the Marra Athletics Complex. The game got off to a back-and-forth start. The Colonials were the first to strike just two minutes in, but the Bonnies answered right back one minute later when Destinee Johnson connected off a feed from Stevie Siluano. It was Johnson's ninth of the season, and her first of two goals on the day. But the Bonnies offense went cold after that. Over the next 20 minutes, Robert Morris went on a 9-0 scoring run to blow the game wide open, taking a 10-1 lead. The Bonnies finally got back on the board with 5:54 left in the first when Arnold netted her first of two goals on the day off an assist from Kyra O'Gorman. It was Arnold's 11th of the season and 61st of her career, passing Sarah Dressler '06 for 17th all-time in St. Bonaventure career scoring. Andrea Hill followed up Arnold's goal two minutes later to cut the deficit to seven, but another Colonials goal before time ticked down in the first half sent them to the locker room up 11-3. St. Bonaventure got out to a better start in the second half when Easterday and Johnson scored minutes apart to make it 11-5, but the Colonials offense wouldn't go away. They immediately answered the Bonnies scoring run with a 2-0 run of their own while continuing to answer every Bonnies goal throughout the second half. At the 18-minute mark, a 2-0 Bonnies run thanks to goals from Kayla Radzyminski and Arnold cut the lead to 13-7, but it was quickly answered with a 3-1 Colonials run over the next 10 minutes to take the lead back to eight, their largest since the first half. One more late goal from Easterday gave the sophomore her second hat trick of the season, and the fourth of her career, but it was a moot point. The Colonials scored two more times before the clock read zero and walked away with an 18-9 win. The Bonnies have a quick turnaround on what is a jam-packed week at the Marra Athletics Complex. St. Bonaventure takes on Siena on Tuesday, March 19 at 3 p.m. before starting Atlantic 10 Conference play on Friday, March 22 vs. Saint Joseph's at 1 p.m. GAME NOTES: Three freshmen found themselves in the starting lineup: Radzyminski, Rebecca Howe, and Madison Mundenar. For Howe and Mundenar, it was their first start at the collegiate level. Kathryn Yoder's five caused turnovers was a season high and her most since recording seven last season vs. George Washington. Arnold's three assists set a new career high, besting the two she had at Siena last season. The senior, whose seven assists on the season are already a career high, leads the team in goals and trails only Johnson in assists and points.
