PITTSBURGH - Saint Joseph's claimed a 21-6 victory over Duquesne on Sunday afternoon in an Atlantic 10 matchup at Arthur J. Rooney Field. The Dukes move to 5-3 overall and 0-2 in A-10 action with the loss while the Hawks boost their records to 6-4 and 2-0, respectively. HOW IT HAPPENED Saint Joseph's scored nine of the first ten goals of the game, including six straight to begin the contest Maddie Hart scored three of her team-high four goals in the first half. The Hawks would gain a 13-4 halftime lead before outscoring Duquesne 8-2 in the second frame. KEY STATS Maddie Hart's four-goal performance marks her third consecutive game with at least four goals. She netted a pair of free position scores to pace the Dukes. Hart added a team-high four draw controls and four ground balls. Michaela Connolly dished out two assists for Duquesne. Sydney Reed scored her first career goal for the Dukes. Sarah Kollhoff also found the back of the net. Francesca Donato had a game-high nine points (four goals, five assists) for the Hawks.
