Colorado State University – Pueblo Men's Lacrosse roared past Felician University 21-7 Saturday in a neutral site game to improve to 2-0 on the season. Taylor Davis (Sr., Littleton, Colo.) netted a sock trick with six goals. He added an assist. Davis also caused three turnovers and snagged three ground balls. Dante Buck (So., Farmington, Minn.) scored three goals and dished out three assists. Buck's six points were a career-high. Tommy Vassallo (Jr., Sarasota, Fla.) added a hat trick of his own. Vassallo tacked on an assist. Skylar Weathers (Fr. Ogden, Utah) collected the first hat trick of his career. Weathers paired his career-high three goals with two ground balls. Seniors Weston Bartgis (El Cajon, Calif.) and Anthony Ferrie (Littleton, Colo.) delivered two goals and dished out two assists. Tyler Reed (So., Sacramento, Calif.) fired in a goal. Matt Lutz (Fr., Austin, Texas) scored his first career goal. Ethan Ferrie (Fr., Littleton, Colo.) earned his first career win in his first collegiate start. Ferrie made seven saves on 14 shots. Jacob Muir (Fr., Ogden, Utah) won 14 of his 20 faceoffs. Muir picked up six ground balls for the second consecutive game. Parker Evans (So., Bentonville, Ark.) snagged five ground balls for the second consecutive game. Evans caused three turnovers. Faurest Vedral (Fr., Scottsdale, Ariz.) caused a team-high four turnovers. The Pack caused 26 total turnovers. The game remained close in the first quarter. CSU-Pueblo ripped in the first two goals of the game and led 4-2 after one. The ThunderWolves scored the first three goals of the second quarter to open a 7-2 lead. They led 11-4 at half. Davis scored five goals in the first half. Buck completed his hat trick in the opening 30 minutes. Coming out of the break, the Pack went on another three-goal run. They won the third quarter 4-1 to carry a 15-5 edge into the fourth. The Golden Falcons scored the first two goals of the final frame. However, the Pack answered by scoring the final six goals as they cruised to a 21-7 win. The ThunderWolves will try to remain undefeated Sunday when the play Notre Dame De Namur University. The opening faceoff between the Pack and Argos is set for 1 p.m. (MTN). – 30 – As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
