Date: Saturday, April 1 Time: 1 p.m. The Lead: Trailing 2-0 after the first quarter, the 14th-ranked Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team rallied behind stellar play from Harry Stanton '18 and Christian Barker '19 en route to an 11-6 win over Colby College Saturday afternoon in NESCAC action. Minutes later, Sayre found Tucker Dietrick for another Colby goal (1:32) to give the visitor's a 2-0 lead after one. Barker ended the scoreless streak at the 8:38 mark of the second quarter, and just over a minute later, Tom Dupont '17 evened the score at 2-2. With 3:13 remaining in the half, Barker put the Cardinals ahead 3-2, and they would never look back. The sophomore took advantage of a man-up opportunity with 1:10 on the clock as well, for his third goal of the quarter, to give the home team a 4-2 halftime lead. SECOND HALF HIGHLIGHTS: Wesleyan increased its lead to three early in the third as Colin Uyeki '19 received a pass from Carter Hawthorne '19 and shot it over his left shoulder, behind his head, into the back of the net.
