MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team used a dominant third quarter to win its second straight game, defeating Rhodes 10-5 at Crain Field Thursday night. The Thoroughbreds completed a perfect 2-0 Tennessee trip, improving their record to 3-3. The loss drops Rhodes to 7-2 on the season. Cody Legeza paced the Thoroughbreds with three goals on seven shots. Will Lukas led all scorers with five points on two goals and three assists, while Justin Csenge scored a goal and added an assist. Jack Curry, Garrett Munck, Paddy Fallon, and RJ Caruso each got on the scorebook with a goal, with Eric Megina and Will Pottow assisting. Jack McElgunn grabbed six ground balls and caused two turnovers to lead the Skidmore defense. Alex Towey caused three turnovers, while Pottow and Logan Hart forced two apiece. Chris Baughan made 11 stops in net to pick up his third victory of the season. Tyler Milwit scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Lynx, which saw five different players score. Cameron Link was the goalie of record, making 12 saves in the effort. Skidmore and Rhodes traded the first four goals of the game, leading into the second quarter. Fallon gave the Thoroughbreds a 3-2 lead at the 10:55 mark in the second quarter, starting a 4-0 Thoroughbred run that led deep into the third quarter. Rhodes broke the drought with a goal to make it 6-3, but Skidmore answered back with a Lukas tally with 38 seconds remaining in the period. Rhodes scored a goal 17 seconds into the final period, before both teams traded goals to make it 8-5 at the 10:17 mark. Eight seconds later, the Thoroughbreds struck quickly, as Pottow fed Lukas for his second goal of the game, putting Skidmore up by four. Munck put the finishing touches on the game with his goal at 6:20 in the final quarter.
