However, Maryville was called for an infraction that gave Young Harris the ball without the ensuing faceoff. The Mountain Lions fired one pass in front of the Maryville goal, and Cody Bielec scored as the buzzer sounded at the end of regulation to tie the game at 10-10. YCH grabbed control of the faceoff to start overtime, and Blake Garrett won it for the Mountain Lions. To open the game, the Saints were down 3-0 before the Shafer tallied the first Maryville goal. Parker Lee scored early in the second quarter before YHC went back ahead 4-2. Zach Steltzer pulled the Saints to 4-3, and his goal at the 2:46 mark tied the game. The Mountain Lions scored in the final minute of the second to take a 5-4 edge. YHC rebuild a 7-4 advantage before the Saints answered with three straight. Jacob Allen tallied near the end of the third, and Shafer two in-a-row to force a 7-7 tie. The Mountain Lions scored at the 3:47 mark but Shafer answered for Maryville.
