The Tars recovered from a slow start to handily defeat Palm Beach Atlantic, 14-7, on the turf at Barker Family Stadium. The Tars honored the careers of seniors Blake Buell, Brandon Carlin, James Cowan, Ryan Dunn, Ford Johnson, Grant Long, Parker Mosack, Charlie Rask, Chase Snyder, Kyle Sudol and student-assistant coach Jackson Pliska. With the victory the Tars improve to 6-2 overall, and sit at 3-2 in Sunshine State Conference play. The Sailfish fall to 1-8, and sit at 0-6 against conference opposition. Bailey Pringle tallied four goals to lead the Tars, while Ryan Dunn netted a pair of tallies and dished out four assists, good for a team high six points. Brandon Carlin, Grant Long, and Justin Spencer each found the back of the net twice. Chase Snyder, Charlie Rask, Connor Thornton, and Justin Isenhour each forced a pair of turnovers. Cam Reeves went 9-10 at the faceoff x, while Kyle Sudol pitched in a 9-12 effort. Cody Iserman saw the majority of the time in net for Rollins, making nine saves while allowing just six goals. Zack Figura recorded a hat trick for the Sailfish, scoring three goals on five shots. Gunner Gebelein caused a game high four turnovers. Gerrit Kurtycz made 13 saves, playing the full 60 minutes for Palm Beach Atlantic. Both defenses controlled the early portion of the game. Figura was the only player to find the back of the net in the first period, after almost 13 minutes of action. Cody Iserman ended the quarter with four saves, keeping the game close as the Tars found their footing. The Sailfish capitalized on a man up opportunity early in the second quarter to double their advantage, to 2-0. Finn Jent was the catalyst for Rollins, dodging down the ally and putting a strike in the top corner to put Rollins on the board. Seniors Blake Buell and Grant Long combined for the equalizer, and Brandon Carlin gave the Tars their first lead, at 3-2, with just under nine minutes remaining in the half. Palm Beach Atlantic would knot the score at 3-3 with six minutes showing on the clock. Bailey Pringle's first score gave Rollins a 4-3 advantage they would take into the break. The Tars came out of the half reenergized, winning the quarter 6-1, and putting the game away. Ryan Dunn found Pringle for a score in the opening moments of the half. Dunn then scored an unassisted goal to give Rollins a 6-3 lead. Blake Buell found Pringle for his third score, and Rollins ballooned a one goal halftime lead to a 7-3 advantage in just five minutes of play. Marshall Ellison gathered a long rebound and delivered a laser into the top corner of the net to give the Tars an 8-3 lead. Dunn assisted Justin Spencer for his first during an extra man chance. The Sailfish scored their only goal of the quarter at the 3:41 mark with a man up goal. Pringle's fourth made sure Rollins squashed any Palm Beach Atlantic momentum heading into the final frame. Dunn assisted Long early in the fourth, as Rollins continued to grow the margin. Dunn then burned his defender and converted a one-on-one chance to give Rollins a 12-4 lead. The Tars and Sailfish traded goals down the stretch. The game was punctuated by a Spencer behind the back score with just under three minutes on the clock. Palm Beach Atlantic would find a last minute consolation to make the score 14-7 as the clock hit zeroes.
