The Boston College lacrosse team rewrote the record book in the 10-point win over Brown, 22-12, Saturday afternoon in Newton.
Senior captain Kaileen Hart becomes the newest member of the Eagles' (5-0, 1-0 ACC) 100 Point Club after tallying 10 points, while junior Sam Apuzzo broke the single game draw control record after winning 11 on the day.
The Bears (2-1, 0-0 Ivy League) gave BC a fright in the first frame after coming out strong and going into the half with a one-goal deficit. In the second half, the Eagles exploded with 15 points to solidify a 10-goal win, 22-12, over the Ivy League foe.

BC HIGHLIGHTS
- With her 10 points in the win, Hart became the 25th Eagle to join the program's 100 Point Club. After today's game, she now has 102 career points.
- Apuzzo set the new program record for most draw controls in an individual game with 11 – this is also a new career high for the attacker. Her previous single-game high was eight, which she's recorded on three separate occasions.
- Ten points also secures Hart a new career high and she matched her career high in assists (5).
- Graduate Caroline Peters notched her first career start for the Eagles.
- Three Eagles had five goals on the day: Apuzzo, Hart and junior Dempsey Arsenault.
- This is the second time this season that Arsenault has scored five goals, her career high, and, with her seven points on the game, she achieves a new career high.
- Freshman Jordan Lappin netted her second consecutive hat trick.
- Hart, Apuzzo and senior Tess Chandler have had at least a goal in every game on the season.
TURNING POINT
- With 14:06 to play in the second half, Arsenault scored two goals in a row to spark a 10-2 run from which the Bears could not recover.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles started the game on top, opening up the scoreboard on a 2-0 advantage with goals from freshman Cara Urbank and Apuzzo.
- Brown responded with a five-goal run, holding the lead for a better part of the first, until Hart notched a man-up goal assisted by Arsenault.
- Lappin scored the final two goals of the first half to give the Eagles a one-score edge going into the break.
- The Maroon and Gold came out of half time energized, scoring the first three goals in the second period.
- Brown answered with three goals of their own, but Apuzzo and Hart added two goals for BC.
- The Eagles ended the game with six consecutive goals to pull out their second 20-plus goal win of the season.
