The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team fell 19-10 to No. 3 Boston College on Saturday afternoon at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium. Julie Wood and Tessa Chad led the Cardinals (6-4, 0-3) with three goals apiece while Kaileen Hart and Tess Chandler led Boston College (10-0, 2-0) with four goals each. "I thought for 45 minutes we hung with one of the nation's best," said head coach Scott Teeter. "We were able to run our systems and I thought our defense was on. Lexi Ball had an outstanding performance but then give BC credit they just kept on pushing and kept on pushing. We had some adversity today. We have to learn from this because the schedule doesn't get any easier." Boston College jumped out an early 2-0 lead to start the game. The Cardinals' Caroline Blalock picked up a ground ball on the Boston College side of the field, took the ball down the field and found Madison Hoover in front of the net for the first Louisville goal with 18:50 remaining in the first half to cut the Boston College lead to 2-1. Blalock scored with 10:53 remaining in the first half to knot the score at 2-2. A minute later the Golden Eagles scored on a free position to take a 3-2 lead.
