Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (1-1) evened their record with a tough 11-9 victory over Elizabethtown (1-2) on Saturday afternoon. Stanley Kolimago (Lansdale, Pa./Methacton) led the Ospreys with a game- and career-high four goals on the day. Kolimago tallied the first two goals of the game, one on an assist by Sean Haddock (East Windsor/Hightstown) for a 2-0 advantage. The Blue Jays cut the margin in half with 21 seconds left in the first period to slice the lead to 2-1. The Blue Jays took their first lead of the contest, scoring two goals 33 seconds apart to take a 3-2 lead at the 13:10 mark of the second quarter. Eric D'Arminio (Roxbury/Roxbury) answered with a tally to knot the game at 3-3 before two more markers by the visitors gave them a 5-3 lead with 1:37 remaining before half. But Stockton scored twice in a span of 17 seconds to tie the game at 5-5 at the break. Dante Poli (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks South) scored on a feed from D'Arminio, then Brendan Scanlon (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) tallied on a helper from Poli to send the teams into the break knotted at 5-5. Kolimago opened the third period with his third marker of the game just 12 seconds in for a brief 6-5 lead for the Ospreys. Elizabethtown countered with a goal to make it 6-6 before Poli scored for the second time in the game for a 7-6 Osprey lead. The visitors answered with a goal with 6:01 left in the third frame, tying the contest for the fifth, and last time, at 7-7. Stockton took control of the game in the final quarter as Reegan Capozzoli (Wayne/Wayne Valley), Kolimago and a pair of goals by Luc Swedlund (Randolph/Randolph) offset two markers by the Blue Jays to secure the 11-9 victory for the Ospreys. Poli added an assist to go with his two goals for three points in addition to Kolimago's big game. Haddock dished two assists, with Scanlon and D'Arminio also contributing a goal and an assist each in the game. Eric Lindskog (Montville/Montville) made 17 saves in net for the Ospreys, one off his career-high of 18 set last season. Riley Langan scored two goals with an assist to pace the Blue Jays, with goalkeeper Brayden Fraley making a career-high 21 saves. The Ospreys will take to the road for their next two matches, beginning next Saturday, March 5 at Washington College (MD). Game time is scheduled for 4 pm.
