The No. 17/18 women's lacrosse team battled hard against #12/15 Penn State, but was ultimately bested by the Nittany Lions, 16-11, at the Penn State Lacrosse Field on Saturday afternoon. Cornell got off to a hot start, netting four goals in the first six minutes – including three in a row by Tomasina Leska – but the home team was quick to equalize with four unanswered goals of their own to knot it up with 15 minutes and 21 seconds left in the first half. Penn State went on another run to end the half and added in nine in the second to push its team to victory. Caroline Allen once again led the team with four goals with two coming on the free position while goalkeeper Katie McGahan picked up three ground balls and made 11 saves. Grace Paletta had seven draw controls and Ida Farinholt caused two turnovers.
