Lane achieved the mark after scoring her second goal of the day and 81st of her career with 3 seconds remaining in the first half, while Gabriel reached the mark with a free position goal, her 89th career score, midway through the second half. Lane finished the day with two goals and Gabriel added four goals and an assist. Northwestern was in full control for the majority of the contest. Marquette entered the day ranking fourth in the country in draw controls (17.29 draws/game), but the ‘Cats dominated the category on Saturday to the tune of 20-9. The ‘Cats featured 14 different goal scorers and was led by Taylor Pinzone’s three goals. Northwestern held a convincing 47-25 shots and went 6-for-10 in free position shots, while also claiming 12 caused turnovers.
