Box Score Rosemont, PA- The Ravens Men's Lacrosse team had an exciting come from behind win over King's College in freezing rain with a final score of 9-4. The Monarchs came out strong putting up 3 unanswered goals in the first quarter and a 4th goal in the beginning of the second quarter before the Ravens got their bearings and battled back in the harsh conditions. SR Brandon Krausse put the Ravens on the board scoring the first goal with assist from SR Mason Dennis. One minute later, Dennis scored a goal of his own. With 1:47 left on the clock, JR Stephen McLaughlin bagged the Ravens third goal. SO Shawn-Thomas McConnell tied the game with only 5 seconds left in the 2nd quarter, sending the teams into halftime with a score of 4-4. SR goalkeeper Mark Porter recorded 10 saves in the first half. The Ravens came out strong in the 3rd quarter, putting up 2 more goals; one from Krausse with assist from McLaughlin and an unassisted goal from Dennis. Rosemont headed into the 4th and final quarter leading the King's College Monarchs 6-4. Just over a minute into the 4th quarter, Krausse scored his 3rd goal of the match. With 7:40 left in the game FR Navarro Blakes scored his first goal of the match. McLaughlin sealed the match with the 9th and final goal of the game with assist from McConnell with less than 4 minutes to play. SR John Martinelli won 13 of 16 face-offs and led the team with 8 groundballs, followed by McConnell with 4, and SR Osaze Thornton and Blakes tied with 3 apiece. Porter recorded 15 saves. The Ravens return to action Saturday 3/12 at home against Albright at 10:00am.
