THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel scored nine straight goals in the third and fourth quarters to break open a 9-7 game and defeat Chatham, 19-11.
THE LEADERS

• Jakob Katzen (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) made a 12 saves in three quarters of action between the pipes.
FOR THE FOES

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After Kyle Rullan staked Chatham to a 1-0 lead just 1:22 into the game, Devon Maranto (Dayton, Md./Loyola Blakefield) started a straight of seven straight McDaniel goals, finishing a solo run just 44 seconds later. Carson Marshall (Brookeville, Md./Glenelg) and Jackson Reilly (Churchton, Md./Southern) added two more unassisted tallies for a 3-1 lead with 11:44 on the clock. Marshall then found Maranto nearly two minutes later for a 4-1 advantage. Noah Longest (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) finished a Reilly assist and DeLoriers converted a man-up tally in the final 5:13 of the first quarter for a 6-1 lead.
• Frankie Kratovil (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) finished the run of goals with a solo marker at the 12:30 mark of the second quarter. Rullan then bookended a 4-0 Cougar run that closed the deficit to 7-5 just six minutes later. Longest and DeLoriers each found the back of the net again around a Dillon Dugan goal to make it 9-6 at halftime.
• Rullan once again made it a two-goal game, scoring just 1:26 into the second half but DeLoriers responded off a Pat Fegan (Edgwater, Md./South River) assist for the second time, sparking the game-clinching 9-0 run. Fegan added a goal of his own just 38 seconds after finding DeLoriers for an 11-7 lead with 12:07 showing. Nate Leishear (Ellicott City, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and Bobby Ruppert (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) each tallied their first goals for the Green Terror during the stretch that Bryce Brookhart (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) capped with his second of tally of the day with 11:31 to play in the fourth quarter.
• Rullan scored three times and found Robert Hedlund to account for all four markers during a 4-0 run in a 3-minute, 37-second span of the fourth quarter that closed the margin to 18-11 with 3:09 to play. Reilly capped the afternoon with his sixth point of the day, scoring with 61 ticks remaining.
