The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team earned its second ODAC victory of the season Saturday afternoon with a 19-6 home win over Ferrum. Shenandoah (6-2, 2-0 ODAC) pulled away from the Panthers (1-7, 0-2) by scoring the final 10 goals of the contest. IN BRIEF Leading 9-3 midway through the third period, Shenandoah found itself in a ballgame as Ferrum scored the final three goals of the third. The momentum swung back to the Hornets as the fourth quarter dawned. Michael Brooks scored off of a Chris Baker assist 25 seconds into the stanza and SU scored nine more times in the next 13 minutes to turn the close game into a rout. Brooks, who had five goals on the day, scored four during this run with Baker, who had six goals, added three goals and two assists as coach Tim Marshall's club pulled away.
