The Stags added three goals out of the half to cut its deficit to 9-7. Loring found the back of the net on a diving shot to get the scoring started in the third for the Crimson, and added another quickly after for his first hat trick of the season to make it 11-7. Madronic added a man-down goal for three-straight for the Crimson, before Fairfield tallied one at the two minute-mark. Salvatore tucked one in the post in the closing minute to maintain a five-goal lead for the Crimson at 13-8 headed into the final frame. The Stags came back within four at the start of the fourth quarter, before Harvard stretched the lead back to five at 14-9 when Salvatore ripped a long-distance shot into the back of the net.
