The Dickinson men's lacrosse team had a tough outing against #8-ranked and unbeaten Franklin & Marshall, falling 20-9 on Thursday night. The Red Devils celebrated Senior Night and had a strong start, playing even with the Diplomats throughout the first quarter. They trailed 3-2 with just over two minutes to play in the period with goals from Connor Ringwalt (Springfield, Pa./Episcopal) and Jake Evangelista (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex). The Diplomats tacked on two goals late in the first and scored back-to-back goals in the second to stretch the lead to 7-2. Patrick Mangan (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) scored off an assist from Skyler Schluter (Summit, N.J./Summit) to break up the run. F&M outscored the Red Devils 5-2 to take a 12-5 advantage into halftime. Edward Sinnott (Richmond, Va./Collegiate School) and Reese Norton (Timonium, Md./Hyde School) tallied goals in the second. Dickinson held strong in the third quarter, holding the Diplomats to just three goals while Ringwalt scored off an assist from Schluter and Will Farrell (Bethesda, Md./Salisbury School) found the net at the 9:09 mark. Matt Donnelly (Frenchtown, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) scored to open the fourth and Ringwalt finished an assist from Tucker Booth (Timonium, Md./Boys' Latin) but the Diplomats add five in the final stanza to secure a 20-9 victory. Ringwalt led the Red Devil attack with three goals while Schluter handed out a pair of assists. John McKee (Virginia Beach, Va./Episcopal) had some big face-off wins, claiming 18 on the night, adding 10 ground balls. Stroud Corr (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) made five saves with strong defensive performances from Teddy Macfarlane (Baltimore, Md./Gilman) and Peter O'Sullivan (New Canaan, Conn./Avon Old Farms). The Red Devils finished the condensed season at 3-4 overall.
