Five different Camels scored multiple goals, leading Campbell over Stetson 15-5 Saturday at Barker-Lane Stadium. Ally Heath tallied a game-high four points on two goals and two assists for the Camels (1-1), while Julianna Sanchez posted two goals, an assist and three ground balls, adding a career-high 12 draw controls, one off the Campbell single game record. Stetson (0-1) did not score a goal in the run of play, with all five goals coming off free position attempts. Leading 4-2 at the half, Campbell used a 7-0 run in the second stanza to distance itself from the Hatters, going ahead 12-3 on Lexie McDaniel's first goal of the day with 15:26 on the clock. Megan Matthews' second goal of the game extended the CU lead to 15-5 with 1:40 remaining. Three of Heath's four points came in the decisive Campbell run, including two assists and a goal. Led by Sanchez' 12 draw controls, Campbell dominated the draw 18-4, and fired off 34 total shots, compared to 13 for the Hatters. Matthews and Sam Bischoff tacked on three points for the Camels on two goals and an assist apiece. McDaniel also scored twice, while Rasa Welsh assisted on two goals. 10 total Camels registered goals in the win. Kennedy Boyle tallied three ground balls and two caused turnovers, while Welsh and Lizzie Yurchak collected two ground balls and two caused turnovers each. Alex Salim also picked up three ground balls to go along with three saves. Marina Rotella led Stetson with two goals, while Christina Nikolai registered four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Campbell will make its 2021 road debut at East Carolina on Wednesday, February 24. The Camels return home on February 28, hosting Davidson.
