Ten different Huskies scored goals to lead the UConn women's lacrosse team to their fourth-straight win, closing out a BIG EAST weekend sweep at Butler, 19-4, Sunday afternoon. UConn stays unbeaten in the conference at 4-0 and raise their overall record to 8-2 on the season, their best start since the 2016 season. The Huskies dominated the first half, outshooting Butler 22-4 and forcing 11 turnovers while building a 14-2 lead into the break. The Bulldogs held a 2-1 lead after the first three minutes of play but UConn clamped down defensively and kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard until the 9:38 mark of the second half. During that stretch, UConn ran off 17-straight goals, their longest run on the season. Junior Grace Coon (Marcellus, N.Y.) matched her season-high with four goals to lead all Huskies in the win. Senior Sydney Watson (Prince Fredrick, Md.) scored three goals, had two assists and six draw controls. Junior Lia LaPrise (Windsor, Conn.) scored twice and assisted on two others. Senior Abby Vetsch (Marcellus, N.Y.) and sophomore Kate Shaffer (West Hartford, Conn.) each had a pair of goals. UConn junior Landyn White (Alpharetta, Ga.) and senior Annie Carroll (Fallsington, Pa.) split the game in cage for the second-straight outing. Carroll took the second half and made seven saves on 12 shots. The Huskies will have next weekend off before returning home to play host to nationally ranked Denver for a pair of BIG EAST games on April 9 and 11 at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium
