With a key matchup in determining conference seeding implications, the Messiah College men's lacrosse squad hung tough with the Stevenson University with the scoreboard showing 7-4 in favor of the Mustangs. Stevenson outscored the Falcons 10-2 in the final two periods and went on to win by a final score of 17-6 on Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons conclude the regular season tonight with a 9-7 record and a 6-2 conference record.
The Falcons secured the No. 2 seed with the loss tonight and will host the No. 3 seed Lycoming on Wednesday, May 1st in the MAC Commonwealth Semifinals. In the regular season matchup, the Falcons took down the Warriors by a score of 12-8.
Liam Lilienthal and Garrett Amsbaugh netted two goals each in the regular season finale. In between the pipes, Jacob Fahnestock earned the start where he recorded 11 saves in the first 45 minutes. Evan Stoker finished the game out in the last quarter
