MARIETTA, Ohio | Winning its second game in as many days, The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team picked up a 13-11 win against Ohio Valley on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers improve to 5-6 with the victory, while OVU slips to 3-5.
Turning Point
-With the game tied at 9-9 after Bryant Baus had scored, Luke LeVette absolutely dominated the fourth quarter as he scored four goals in the period to lift UAH to the victory.
Inside the Box Score
-LeVette finished the contest with six goals and two assists to lead the team with eight points, and he also fired off nine shots in the game.
-Baus paced the team with 11 shots, turning three of those into goals, while both James Cox and Cole Fagrie had two-point showings with Cox scoring a goal and an assist and Fagrie picking up a pair of helpers.
-Jack Utrevis, Kevin Coppinger, and Adam Zois were responsible for UAH's other two goals in the contest.
-Earning the win in the cage for UAH was Michl McNeil who made eight saves.
-Shots in the contest were even at 35-35, but the Chargers held a 22-19 advantage in shots that were on target.

-The hosts got on the board first, but LeVette would answer with his first two goals of the game coming at the 5:39 and 2:39 marks of the first quarter to give UAH an early 2-1 lead.
-The teams then traded 3-0 runs as the hosts scored three straight to go up 4-2 91 seconds into the second quarter before Zois, Utrevis, and Baus scored three straight for UAH to put the Chargers back up 5-4 with just over five minutes left until the half.
-The Scots took a 6-5 lead into the break after scoring a pair in the final 2:12 of the second frame, but another three straight goals – this time from Coppinger, Baus, and Cox – put the visitors ahead 8-6 at the 11:48 mark of the third quarter.
-The back-and-forth game continued with Ohio Valley scoring three in a row to reclaim a 9-8 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
-Baus then scored to tie it before LeVette single-handedly outscored OVU 4-2 down the stretch to give the Chargers the victory.
Noteworthy
-LeVette's six goals represent a program record as he beats the previous single-game high of five, and he matches his own single-game record of eight points.
-LeVette now has 39 points on the season with 23 goals and 16 assists.
-The Chargers have eight players who have reached double figures in points this season with two games remaining. A season ago, just five UAH players had at least 10 points.
