WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's lacrosse team set a program record with 22 goals on Saturday in its triumph over Hartford. The 22-5 victory shifted the Black Knights to 3-0 on the year, their best start in Academy history. The 17-point win was the Cadets' largest margin this season and their largest since Feb. 21, 2018 when they defeated Central Connecticut State, 21-4. An impressive 14 different cadet-athletes tallied at least one goal in the game, while five of those 14 recorded multiple scores. Leading the charge was junior Samantha Stewart, who posted a game-high four goals on five shots. Sophomore Jackie Brattan followed closely with a hat trick of her own. Also garnering three points in the game was Caroline Raymond, Logan Dougherty and Megan Raftery with one goal and two assist, as well as Juliana Dworschak with two goals and one assist. Maddie Burns earned the start and the win in goal for the Cadets, but Riley Roarick and Hannah Slomkowski posted two saves each during their time in the game.
