The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 at home for the second straight season following a 13-7 win over the Siena Saints on Saturday (March 3) at U-M Lacrosse Stadium. The Michigan (3-2) offense saw markers from eight different players, led by four goals from junior Brent Noseworthy and a pair each from junior Decker Curran and sophomore Avery Myers. The four goals for Noseworthy give him a team-best 16 on the year and eight goals in the past two games. The Wolverines trailed 3-2 after the first quarter, but jumped ahead in the second after outscoring the Saints (2-1), 4-1, in the quarter. Michigan never looked back after taking 4-3 lead at 10:51 of the second. Freshman Connor Cronin won 10-of-18 faceoffs to go along with a ground ball, while longpole Nick DeCaprio filled the stat sheet with a goal, assist, a ground ball and two caused turnovers to lead the Wolverine defensive unit. As a whole, the Siena offense registered 49 shots, but the Wolverine defense only allowed 23 on cage. Sophomore goalie Matt Trowbridge made a career-high 16 saves in goal, a number that ranks fourth in program history for a single game.
