Score: UAlbany 21, Bryant 11 Location: Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury, N.Y. Records: UAlbany (3-0); Bryant (0-2) Short Story: UAlbany wins its third straight game to open the season, dropping Bryant 21-11 following a late venue change to Queensbury. Coach Rowan: “It’s never easy to have a venue change, but we practice a lot inside so the team was able to adjust really well. And today was a hard-fought match from both teams. We came out to a slow start but I was really impressed with how our team refocused after Bryant’s first two goals to string a few together. We evened up the draw controls in the second half, and we felt like we could be really successful when we had the ball. We had some great shooting performances, especially with Kyla and Hailey, so overall a great game.” Key Stats Kyla Zapolski scored six goals Kendra Harbinger scored four goals and recorded three assists Hailey Carroll scored five goals Georgia Schneidereith recorded seven saves UAlbany outshot Bryant 41-22 UAlbany forced 13 Bryant turnovers Bryant won 12 draw controls in the first half to UAlbany’s five Recap A last-minute venue change to avoid the wild chill hazard on Tuesday afternoon saw the University at Albany women’s lacrosse team host Bryant at the indoor facility at the Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury, N.Y.
