The No. 2 Boston College lacrosse team earned a 18-8 victory at No. 16 Duke in pouring rain on Saturday afternoon at the Blue Devils' Koskinen Stadium. Dempsey Arsenault's career-high five goals paced the Eagles' winning effort as Boston College (14-0, 5-0 ACC) earned just its second win at Duke (7-5, 2-3 ACC) in seven trips to Durham. The win was also the Eagles' fifth in league play, tying the team's mark for most conference wins in a season in program history. BC used a swarming defensive effort and capitalized on the Blue Devils' turnovers to take a 12-5 lead at the half. The Eagles also held Duke scoreless for 19:06 of the second half to extend a lead the Blue Devils could not overcome. Arsenault (five goals, one assist) led the Eagles' offensive effort, while Sam Apuzzo posted five points (three goals, two assists) and Kaileen Hart also added five points (three goals, two assists). Arsenault also added a game-high eight draw controls and three caused turnovers. Lauren Daly made two saves on the day, while the Blue Devils used a pair of goaltenders on the day. Gabbe Cadout made three saves, while Katie Lockwood stopped four shots. No. 2 Boston College 18, No. 16 Duke 8 Saturday, April 7, 2018 Koskinen Stadium | Durham, N.C.
